Charlotte Dickin
Driven by a belief in the power of education and open conversations, I strive to create environments where mental health is understood, valued, and supported. During my education career in both New Zealand and the UK I have successfully implemented improved wellbeing outcomes in the environments I have been involved in.
An experienced educator with over 20 years of teaching experience in the UK and New Zealand. Over the years I have developed a deep commitment to supporting learning, personal growth, and student well-being in educational settings, and workplace mental health programmes supporting all. As an elite athlete competing in the 400m hurdles I realised from an early age the importance of the mind in all that we do. Sports installed a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and performance under pressure, qualities that have shaped both my professional and personal journey. Currently, I deliver Mental Health First Aid courses, combining my passion for mental health support with my background in education and sports and I am deeply committed to promoting awareness, understanding, and practical skills in mental health, helping individuals and communities build knowledge and confidence to support themselves and others. As a mother of four young adults I have enjoyed the journeys of growth that they have been on and developed my understanding of the world in which they live. I deliver courses in many different settings, enjoying the different challenges that each have. From groups of schools to the boardroom I can deliver to any group of people, empowering and enthusing all to develop their understanding of Mental Health and ways of applying concepts such as ALGEE into family, friends and workplaces across the country and I look forward to creating courses to suit the needs of your setting.
